About Me

My Photo
Lmntree Musesick
RacecaR says
DIRECTION: Dedicated to advancing the culture and awareness of Hip-Hop and all it's disciplines, specifically the Art and performance of Rhyme.
CONTENTS: Lyrics with honesty, meaning, and a high-energy stage show to be seen first-hand.
SEASONING: Leaning more toward Jazz and other Drum-Related mediums, but always looking forward.
PRODUCT: Too many collaborations to number, but a better understanding of my medium, my music, and myself.

WHERE?
Continuing to build both his art-form and his fanbase, 12:51 is at a seemingly perfect point at his career, now being newly relocated to France. Having teamed up in various collaborations with Jostereo (The Living Room Soundsystem),
Lord Faz (French DJ/Producer of the Beattrotterz),
SaxMachine (Rennes based Saxophone and Trombone mixed jazzily with beat based samplery),
and Soul Square (Nantes based quartet of veteran Hip-Hop producers and world champion DJ), RacecaR continues to spread his live show in, and around Europe. Remaining glued to his promise of rocking any crowd, anywhere, and bringing nothing but quality live entertainment, period. He has and continues to leave capacity crowds buzzing, open, and eager to hear more; everytime.

SOUL SQUARE featuring RACECAR
Take three beatmakers from Nantes known for their love of neatly used samples and sharp arrangement, add a turntable goldsmith five times world champion with his crew C2C, shake the whole thing and you'll get the latest Jazzy-Hip-Hop sensation: SOUL SQUARE!

Coming from Nantes, home of the French soulful scene's rebirth, DJ Atom, PermOne, Arshitect & Guan Jay quickly drew attention to themselves thanks to their forceful melodic instrumentals.

KIF Records, talent scout label with bands such as Birdy Nam Nam was not mistaken when he asked the band to join his team.

Hip Hop Soul and Jazz, Soul square pays tribute to black American music with a confidence which invites you straight away to revisit their effort.

We noticed them behind the stoves of Micronologie's or Fisto's recent albums, or as inspired remix makers for Wax Tailor, Hocus Pocus or even The Jazz Liberatorz, the four chefs truly know how to concoct a flavorful combination that makes “soulful music”.

Their first installment, "Live & Uncut", which mixes old-school with contemporary influences, casual and smooth grooves with pure Hip-Hop beats, truly speaks to everybody, from every nostalgic music lover to every bystanding pair of ears curious to discover the latest savor.

Surrounded with a team of friends, from the young Swedish emcee Blezz, the Canadian born Justis, even Beat Torrent, Melodiq or Voice, to the frenchies Elodie Rama or Dajla, the band took five years to bring out an ambitious project from their cauldron.

Get ready! Soul Square squared the circle and finally hits your iPods!

SAXMACHINE featuring RACECAR
Hip Hop Jazz trio, SAX MACHINE is a return back to the future of “Great Black Music” : hard bop, afro beat, funk or hip hop collide into a new and unstoppable alloy.
Sax Machine is an alchemical formula imagined by talented saxophonist Guillaume Sené (Like Jam) and Pierre Dandin (trombonist of Sergent Garcia, Malted Milk and Mix City) that transforms the art of improvisation into a mesmerizing brass colored groove mixed and merged with loopers and machines.
Jay Ree, old-school style rapper close to americans Black Thoughts (The Roots), Common Sense or Guru, and who also voices for Zenzile, Like Jam or City Kay, adds his top notch touch as master of ceremony, delivering his conscious lyrics and soulful vibes.
Sax Machine not only has a brand new release, but also a new deluxe featuring!
RacecaR, lyricist par excellence, brings a Native Tongue flavored style to the mix. With a career of over 20 years, RacecaR has plenty of collaborations under his belt, most known for his work in the Chicago duo Modill. Having toured with Slim Kid Tre of The Pharcyde, Speech of Arrested Development, and shared the stage with many, more Hip-Hop notables, he is well prepared to show his veteran intelligence, positivity and class to the world. He has recently begun works with Blanka (of La Fine Equipe and A State of Mind), Creestal Atoms (of CM Jones), SoulSquare ( a group of seasoned producers which includes DJ Atom of C2C and Beat Torrent fame), DJ Suspect (formerly of the The Funk League), and Alakazam (Zulu Nation Paris), amongst many other very relevant artists in the French Hip-Hop scene. He continues to extend his network and garner praise while showing his quality, energy-fillled performance, to a number of crowds around France. With RacecaR, Jay Ree, and SaxMachine, the new EP “RELOOP” is already gathering attention and will prove to be a classic, as the crew continues to work towards a proper full-length release.

THE LIVING ROOM SOUNDSYSTEM
The LIVING ROOM SOUNDSYSTEM is the young duo of Jostereo, beatmaker and sound selector, and 12:51, host and emcee. They bring a very LIVE and energy-filled evening of music, spanning many genres and always ever-ready to rock and move ANY crowd.

The original Living Room Sessions was a series of very successful evenings that took place back in Chicago, where 12:51 originates, and has now been newly resurrected; alive and well in Paris. The LIVING ROOM SOUNDSYSTEM present music from many genres ranging from Hip-Hop (i.e. Jazzy, Boom-Bap, Electronica, and etc.), Abstract Beat, Break Beat, Soul, Dubstep, Funk, you name it!

The best way to describe the experience is surprise and experience.

SURPRISE: No two sets they offer EVER are alike. They skillfully adapt to the given event, and push aside expectations of the same old party. Often bringing special guests and exclusive tracks, they use the element of surprise to keep the heads attentive to the evolution of the evening.

EXPERIENCE: 12:51 & Jostereo represent, collectively, 22 plus years of creating, recording, and performing music. With thousands of shows between them, it's easy to rest assured that they have the knowledge and expertise to "come correct" in front of any crowd!
